From the beginning, you need to know that Darren is not your middle of the road photographer. His passion emanates from the imagination and vision of his photography. Upon graduating from high school, Darren entered the Art Institute where he majored in photography. After completing art school, Darren went on to apprentice with one of Texas' most revered studios. "I felt that art school was teaching me traditional methods, which I felt were important, but I wanted to give a new perspective. A more unconventional perspective." Darren recalls. It is Darren’s desire to use his camera to capture life and retell it in an artistic, visual manner. "I love creating vibrant imagery for a commercial shoot. But I also like spending time with a family, creating a memorable portrait. I really have no preference. Every shoot is a unique challenge, with unique possibilities. This is why my clients commission my work."

Darren married Katy four years ago. Besides raising their family, they had a desire to start a business that allowed them to work together and allow Darren to continue working with his passion of photography. They became business partners to achieve this dream. Darren felt that adding Katy to the team added new inspiration for family portrait and wedding photography. Her background in education and customer service made them a perfect match. The joy they find in working together comes through in their work
